Duties and Responsibilities:
• Establish brand visual presentation standards and ensure they are followed
• Conduct a photo review process and give guidance when needed
• Develop and continually evolve training tools to ensure that the Visual Merchandising team applies unified principles across all stores:
• Visual Directives
• Best Practice and Standards Guidelines
• In partnership with Merchants on product selection (particularly furniture) to ensure overall look of the showroom, mix and pricing
• Work cross-functionally with Store Operations giving guidance and direction to Division Merchandisers
• Partner with Store Development and the Merchandising team to ensure all visual direction is in the best interest of the business
• Develop seasonal plans to make sure Stores are relevant visually to the time of year.
• Over time analyze, understand, and refine processes related to visual merchandising to optimize efficiency and better meet the needs of business
• Actively involved with future store execution: product presentation, floor placement/layouts, accessorizing and store map development
• Communication – must effectively lead open and concise communications to all levels of the organization. Responsible for communicating merchandising vision & strategy to internal and external groups
• May perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
• Good writing and communication skill in English
• 5+ years of Visual Merchandising experience
• Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Required Skills and Competencies:
• Demonstrate strong people, problem-solving, communication, organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to give presentations to large groups and/or Senior Leadership
• Ability to work on cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently, positively handle conflict, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Display detail-oriented approach to work
• Ability and proficiency in Microsoft Office products and software needed for the title.
• Ability to work overtime and travel when needed
• Ability to execute Company and Merchandising strategic initiatives
• Strategic thinker with the ability to problem solve, as well as, develop new concepts
Ability to deal with physical rigors of the store set up (climbing ladders, moving product, etc.)
