PURCHASER

The primary responsibility of this role is to develop sourcing strategies, cost analysis / standards, and quality metrics.
• Develop sourcing strategies, which result in supply base optimization.
• Negotiate with supplier partners for cost savings and avoidance utilizing competitive benchmarking of detailed cost elements and analysis of cost variance
• Research potential vendors
• Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
• Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery
• Review quality of purchased products
• Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
• Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
• Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage

What you bring:
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Professional experience in a direct buying role, including responsibility for analysis and negotiation of product and manufacturing cost
• Experience with RFQ (Request for Quotation) procurement system, including cost and supply base strategy analysis
• Experience with gap analysis and identifying trends with large scale data sets
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (including macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP), ERP/CRM.
